First let me say this year has flown by and I could not be more proud of our students. They have been so busy in science this year and both the 7th and 8th grade have some big projects to wrap up the school year.
8th grade is currently finishing up Plate Tectonics, Earthquakes and Volcanoes. And let me tell you our Earth has given us plenty of excitement in the world of Earthquakes recently and continues to do so. After we wrap up this unit, we will be off and working on a mini science fair and then in May discovering all the really great technology there is when it comes to Eco friendly homes these days.
7th grade had ISAT tests in Science in March and worked really hard getting ready for them. We are now on to the way cool world of all things living. They recently dissected owl pellets and we are going to move on from their with learning more about anatomy. I love all the things we discover throughout the year, but I must admit this is the stuff I love, and it is exciting to share that love with my students.
So, ask them what they are doing, I am sure they would love to share!
