As my morning classes know before we had our early dismissal yesterday, this is going to be some storm and it has been years since we have had anything like this. Part of this is do to the weather pattern change from a El Nino weather pattern in the Pacific Ocean to a La Nino weather pattern. And also just plain timing of 3 weather systems coming together in the mid-west.
The last big ice storm you should remember from 2006. But the last time we had record snow in the area was in 1982. So get out your yard sticks and measure away. We have our all set up in the backyard so I will try to get some pictures and post them as I get a chance.
Check back soon...... so as of 9:00am in Carrollton the precipitation coming down changed from a wintery mix to snow. Enjoy your snow day, listen to some music, make some hot chocolate and enjoy a little nature!
